Teaching Languages through Visual Art
(in preparation) is a thoroughly practical book aimed at primary and middle school language and art teachers. It stems from my experience developing and teaching a Spanish through Art CLIL program in Melbourne, Australia, for students with English as L1 (their first language). After moving to Barcelona, I adapted my projects to teach English through Art to Catalan and Spanish children. These experiences allowed me to test the flexibility and relevance of the program in two different language and classroom contexts. Each project is outlined in a double spread page. The colourful and intuitive layout has been designed to help busy teachers quickly understand the gist of a lesson.
